“ I've been a loyal fan of Rustic Pig BBQ for almost a year now, and every visit just reinforces why this spot is my go-to for mouthwatering, authentic barbecue. The food here is consistently top-notch—juicy, flavorful, and cooked to perfection. I devoured their pork sliders last time, which were tender and packed with that smoky goodness… no dry disappointments here. Sides like the coleslaw and banana pudding are fresh, creamy, and the perfect complement, never mushy or overcharged in my experience. This place nails the balance of quality and value, especially for the generous portions. What really sets Rustic Pig apart, though, is the incredible team the nicest bunch of young folks you'll ever meet behind a counter. They're always upbeat, efficient, and go out of their way to make you feel welcome, even on busy Fridays around closing time. I've never seen them slacking or badmouthing anyone; if anything, they're pros at handling the rush with smiles and quick service and most of all STYLE. Honestly, I have to call out some of these one-star whiners who've clearly got their own issues. Take the reviews below for example. complaining about "dry" chicken and "mushy" mac like she ordered from a different planet. Sounds like she hit an off day or maybe just has impossibly high standards. And overcharged? I've double-checked my bills every time, and it's always spot on perhaps she miscounted her own change. Then there's this KK guy acting like the place has "fallen off" because employees were prepping for close at 6:30 on a Friday? Come on, that's just responsible business, not "trashing" the boss or ignoring customers. If you're showing up late and expecting a red carpet, maybe stick to fast food. These gripes feel exaggerated and unfair to a spot that's ABSOFRUITLY killing it. If you're craving real BBQ with heart, skip the haters and head to Rustic Pig. 5 stars all around food, atmosphere and most of all the amazing people behind the counter. Cya again soon pig ”
“ I have not been here in about a year or more but decided to give it another shot, and let me tell you I'm so glad I did. I am not sure what changed but the food is way better and even the way the employees interact with you is on a whole nother level. We will definitely be back and telling everyone to go even if it was not so good in the past. This is one place you will want to try. ”
“ You name the state and I’ve eaten BBQ there. Carolina’s, Texas Or Kansas I’ve had their best. The Rustic Pig can hang in the race with any of them. Juicy and cooled to perfection with simple and traditional sides. Choose one of the 10 different sauces and order you up 2 pulled pork sandwiches. Finish off with a little banana pudding and you’ll thank me tomorrow. ”
“ This is an awesome, unassuming little restaurant connected to a convince store in Fruitland. Don't let the location fool you though because the BBQ here is absolutely spectacular! I was in town doing some work and was told I needed to try out their brisket so I stopped in. It was as good as I was told. The girls at the counter were friendly and nice and the service was quick. It's not a fancy place for lunch or dinner, by no means, but it sure is tasty. The brisket was moist, thick and full of flavor and the pulled pork was excellent too. They have many homemade sauces to choose from so I'm sure you'll find one to your liking. You can't really talk about a barbecue place if they don't have great coleslaw. And this was GREAT coleslaw. I don't know where the owners learned about barbecue but they learned in the right place! I don't think you can beat it in the treasure Valley. All in all this was just a great lunch experience. I can't wait to go back to Fruitland just so I can stop and eat there. If you're looking for anywhere to eat and you're on that side of the valley, you have to stop at The Rustic Pig.HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! ”
“ Located inside a gas station in Fruitland, Rustic Pig BBQ is some of the best barbecue I have had in Idaho. It is well worth the drive! It was a very hot summer day, but I love barbecue and it’s not every day that I’m in Fruitland, so I did my best to try sample as much of the menu as I could. I ordered the 1 Meat Plate, which came with a drink, a side, bread, and pudding. I ordered 4 more small sides. Here is what I tried: Pulled Pork Mac ‘n Cheese with Bacon Garlic Mashed Potatoes Spicy Baked Beans (they have regular Baked Beans too) Potato Salad Cole Slaw Banana Pudding I was also offered a free sample of brisket. Both the pulled pork and brisket were excellent! There were six homemade barbecue sauces. They were all excellent! I loved all of the sides, except for the potato salad. The banana pudding was very good! I wanted to try the chocolate pudding too, but I had to draw the line somewhere. Highly Recommended!!! ”
